Pattern - Hat - White Pines Hat - SW Merino - Bulky - 2001

This Pattern is written for the SW Merino - BULKY yarn.

But you can use any BULKY Weight yarn as long as you get the gauge.

22-23" around head & 16 - 17" bottom edge over crown of head to bottom edge.

You need: US Size 10 Double Pointed Needles and

US Size 7 Circular Needles - 16" length &

US Size 10 Circular Needles - 24" length

Do NOT use a shorter length or your hat will be too small. 

Marker.

2 skeins of the SW Merino - BULKY in 2 different colors.

Pattern is for 3 colors: Background, Pine tree is in Brown for the Trunk or some other dark color, either Cedar or Evergreens for the Pine Branches. 

Pay attention to the variegated colors.  

NOTE: The order of how you carry the yarns is important. Always keep your Background Color on top of your Contrasting Color. This way your Contrasting Color will be the dominant color. Your pattern will stand out.
