Pattern #2603     Chest/Bust: 42-44” (form fit 44”) ONLY (107-112 cm (form fit 104 cm) ONLY)

Tweedy Merino or any Light DK weight yarn  (as long as you get close to gauge).

Materials:

NOTE: Tweedy Merino is a Light DK weight yarn, normally I work this yarn on US Size 6 (4mm). I wanted this sweater to be tighter.

MAIN COLOR:

MC - 6 skeins Tweedy Merino  - each skein approx. 232 yards (212m)/ 3.5 oz (100g)

I used approx. 1300 yards (1200 m) for the main color.

I needed the last skein for the last 6-7” of the second sleeve, plus the ICord collar.

CONTRASTING COLORS: I used 3, you can use any number you prefer.

CC1 - White I used approx. 60 yards (55m).

CC2 - Wine I used approx. 100 yards (92m).

CC3 - Amber I used approx. 20 yards (18m).

US Size 1.5 (2.5mm) & US Size 2.5 (3mm) DP (double pointed) Knitting Needles. for sleeves.

NOTE: I use my flyers or 1 or 2 x US Size 2.5 (3mm) 16” (40cm) circular needles for the sleeves.

I knit tighter when I work the sleeves. If you have the same issue you may wish to use a larger needle size for the sleeves.

US Size 1.5 (2.5mm) Circular Knitting Needle - 16” (40 cm) length for the collar & 24” (60 cm) or 32” (80 cm) for bottom edge border.

for the yoke - YOU MUST USE 60” (150cm) for the design or it is not going to lay flat.

NOTE: Use multiple circular needles, If you do not have the right length.

NOTE: The order of how you carry the yarns is important. Always keep your Background Color on top of your Contrasting Color. This way your Contrasting Color will be the dominant color. Your pattern will stand out.
