Pattern - Hat - Dancing Paca Hat in Super Fine Alpaca - 1800

This Pattern is written for the 2ply - Super Fine ALPACA yarn, or any Fine Fingering or Fingering weight yarn.

You will have enough yarn to work 6 hats - if you reverse the colors in the Super Fine ALPACA yarn, as those skeins are 8 oz.

HAT SIZE: 22-23” around head & 16” bottom edge over crown of head to bottom edge covering your ears.

NOTE: You can change hat size (around head): by either adding or decreasing sts between the Alpacas.

Plus if you want the hat taller add rounds before you start the crown. You want to keep the Alpacas at the bottom as this will give you double layer by the ears, where you need the warmth the most.

I’ve also added an OPTIONAL standard hat decrease.

You need: US Size 3 Double Pointed Needles and

US Size 1 & 3 Circular Needles - 16" length &

US Size 3 Circular Needles - 24" length

Pattern comes with an OPTIONAL standard Hat decrease.

Do NOT use a shorter Circular Needles length when working the stranded work or your hat will be too small.
