Pattern - Hat - In Beauty I Walk Hue in Fingering - 2507

Materials: Yak/Silk/Merino - approx. 3.5 oz/ 400 yards, or SW Merino - Fine Sport - approx. 4.2 oz/380 yards or Fine Merino/Nylon/Cashmere - Fingering - Fine Sport - approx. 4.9 oz/436 yards or Fine Fingering Sock - approx. 3.5oz/415 yards or ANY Fine Sport - Fingering Weight yarn.

Leftovers work great. I used 4 colors for this one..

Version pictured was worked in Fine Fingering Sock. The "In Beauty I Walk Hue" weigh approx. 1.7 oz.

Color 1: (Forest) approx. 150 yards (140m)

Color 2: (Moss) approx. 60 yards (55m)

Color 3: (Amber) approx. 25 yards (23m)

Color 4: (Blue) approx. 60 yards (55m)

US Size 1.5 (2.5 mm) DP Knitting Needles - 6” length &

US Size 1.5 (2.5 mm) Circular Knitting Needle - 16” length & 24” length. Marker, so you can keep track of

each round.

Gauge in pattern BEFORE/AFTER wash on US size 1.5 (2.5 mm) needles: 7 sts/1” & 10 rounds/1”.

Head Size: 20-21” circumference (around head) & 15” from bottom of ear over crown of head to bottom

of other ear.

For a taller version increase rounds from the Border chart 1. Shorter version decrease rounds.

For a smaller version (around head) use smaller needles. Larger version use larger needles.

This hue “hugs” your head comfortably.

*Hue is Danish for Kep, Cap or Hat

The Shetland Keps provided the inspiration for this “HUE”, lI ove playing with colors.

This is a win win combination, playing with colors, using up leftovers, creating a unique and super soft warm hat.

These hats can tell a story or bring out favorite colors or favorite scenery.

Do not hesitate to play with your leftover colors to create your own version.
