Pattern - Hat - Cable Brim Hat - Fingering Weight - 141

This Pattern is written specifically for all of our Fingering Weight yarns, including SW Sock.

HAT SIZE: 20-22” around head & 15-16” bottom edge over crown of head to bottom edge.

NOTE: You can change hat size: by either adding or decreasing length of cable section. Cable section is worked first and then joined via Kitchener stitch.

You pick up stitches along the top edge of the cable border, which will determine the circumference of the hat.

If you want it taller add rounds before you start the decreases, shorter work less rounds.

You can make this hat into a beret style by picking up extra stitches along the top edge of the cable border.

You need: US Size 3 Double Pointed Needles & US Size 3 Circular Needle - 16" length.

Cable Stitch Holder, waste yarn, Marker.

NOTE: This hat can also be made into a BERET STYLE HAT.
