Pattern - Hat - Leaves Brim Hat in Sport/Light DK Weight - 2100

This Pattern is written for any Sport/Light DK Weight yarn.

NOTE: I included 1 versions for the top - only one is shown in photo.

HAT SIZE: 20-22” around head & 15-16” bottom edge over crown of head to bottom edge covering your ears.

NOTE: You can change hat size: by either adding or decreasing length of Leaves section. Leaves section is worked first and then joined via the Kitchener stitch.

You pick up stitches along the top edge of the Leaves border, which will determine the circumference of the hat.

If you want your hat taller add rounds before you start the decreases, shorter work less rounds.

You can make this hat into a beret style by picking up extra stitches along the top edge of the Leaves border.

NOTE: Leaves Border will grow when you wash the hat as the Leaves stitches relax.

You need: US Size 6 (4 mm) Double Pointed Needles and

US Size 6 (4 mm) Circular Needle - 16" length. 

Waste yarn & marker.

Gauge: 5.5 sts/1" & 7 rows/1" in stockinette stitch.

1 skein of any Sport/Light DK Weight yarn.
